For medical oncology units, chemotherapy day hospitals, outpatient infusion centres and oncology clinics

The session, the room and the support,
on your unit screens

An oncology day unit handles patients with complex schedules — chemo, immunotherapy, hormone therapy, targeted therapy — rotating rooms, varying infusion times, pre-session reminders and waiting-area notices for families. Printed signage cannot keep up. On screen: the room panel, current session, next patients, reminders and support resources, updated from your phone without printing anything.

Free first screen · No credit card · GDPR-compliant

For guidance only. Your treatment is directed by your oncology team. Always consult your oncologist. Digisini screens display operational and support information only — they do not form part of any clinical protocol.

What goes on screen
in your oncology unit

Operational and support content managed from your nurses' station. No design work, no learning curve. Strictly informational — no clinical protocols on public screens.

01

Rooms and chairs panel

Current session and next patients shown by initials or appointment number — never by diagnosis or treatment name. Estimated infusion time, assigned box and lead nurse. Updated from the nurses' station in seconds.

02

Standard operational information

Today's blood test reminder, premedication notice, fasting if applicable, next oncology appointment and oncology nurse contact. Between-session warning signs displayed for information only — not a personalised protocol. Always: "For guidance only. Consult your oncologist."

03

Patient and family support

Psycho-oncology resources, clinical nutrition, oncology physiotherapy, Macmillan Cancer Support, Cancer Research UK and similar charities, local support groups, volunteer services, social resources and your centre's activities calendar. Updated whenever a new session or service is added.

04

Statutory health notices

Complaints procedure, GDPR, patient rights, insurer authorisations, responsible team and registrations, hygiene protocols and safe cytotoxic handling guidelines. Required by CQC and NHS/private sector regulation — visible and accessible without taking up staff time.

Suited to your unit,

Where the screen goes
in the oncology unit

In an oncology unit the screen does not sell: it accompanies, points to the support available and brings order, without ever exposing a patient.

Infusion room and chairs

The chair panel: session in progress and next patients identified only by initials or an appointment number, estimated time and assigned bay. Never a full name or clinical data. It orders the day and brings calm without compromising anyone.

Family waiting room

The estimated session time, the room, transport and the services (café, toilets, accessibility). Those waiting — at a very hard time — know what to expect without asking the nurses, and that lowers the tension in the room.

Reception and entrance

The required patient notices: patient rights, complaints procedure, GDPR information, the responsible clinical team, insurers. Everything the rules require on display, always up to date and with no faded posters pinned to a board.

Staff area

The standardised operational information — the day's bloods, premedication, fasting where relevant, the next oncologist appointment — on a screen the patient does not see, so the team has the protocol in front of them without repeating it.

Day-hospital bay with two reclining infusion chairs, an IV pole between them and the infusion pump on the trolley
The session lasts hours, sitting down. Whatever is on the wall keeps company without demanding attention.

Accompany with dignity,
without exposing anyone

In oncology the screen works three things: absolute privacy, making people aware of the support that exists, and easing the load on staff doing very hard work.

A number or initials, never a name or a diagnosis. Sensitivity in oncology is at its highest. The panel identifies the patient only by initials or an appointment number, never by a full name or any clinical data. Digisini receives no medical records: staff type in the minimum and nothing about the patient leaves the unit. Dignity comes first.

Patients knowing support exists is part of the treatment. Psycho-oncology, nutrition, physiotherapy, cancer support charities (Macmillan, Maggie's) and support groups exist, but many patients and families do not know they are within reach. Having them visible in the room, calmly and without drama, brings those resources closer to whoever needs them, at the moment they need them.

Ease the load on staff doing very hard work. The operational notices that repeat — bloods, premedication, fasting, the next appointment — go on screen and stop falling on nursing, who get time and energy back for care and for the human contact that is irreplaceable in this unit.

To be straight with you: we are not a health record and we do not manage health data. The screen does not connect to the hospital system or any patient registry; it shows what staff upload. Content is hosted on servers within the EU/UK. For anything clinical you carry on with your own system.

Common questions from
oncology unit managers

Room and chair panels (current session, next patient by initials or appointment number, estimated time, assigned box, lead nurse), standard operational reminders (today's bloods, premedication, fasting if applicable, next appointment, oncology nurse contact, between-session warning signs — for guidance only, not a personalised protocol), patient and family support resources (Macmillan, Cancer Research UK, psycho-oncology, nutrition, oncology physiotherapy, support groups, centre activity calendar), and statutory health notices (complaints procedure, GDPR, patient rights, responsible team, hygiene and safe cytotoxic handling protocols). No personalised treatment protocols on public screens.
Yes. Any Smart TV with a browser (Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV) works out of the box. If the TV does not have a built-in browser, a Fire Stick or Chromecast (~£30) turns it into a Digisini screen. Setup: plug in the TV, open Digisini in the browser, enter the 6-digit PIN. No technician, no extra cabling, no specialist hardware.
Yes. With the Pro plan (3 screens) or higher, you can assign different content to each screen: the waiting area shows support resources and general notices, while individual chair or box panels show session information (appointment time, next patient initials, lead nurse). Each screen is managed independently from the Digisini panel.
Digisini does not display personal data, diagnosis or treatment names in public view. Chair panels show initials or appointment number only (e.g. "Mr A.S." or "APT-2045"), never a full name, diagnosis or regimen. Data is hosted on European servers (Scaleway), GDPR-compliant and UK GDPR-compliant. Digisini does not integrate natively with oncology hospital information systems (HIS) for patient safety and data security reasons — Business+ plans include a double sign-off integration option. An alternative approach for session sequencing is our queue management screen.
A small outpatient oncology unit with a single waiting area: Starter €9/month (1 screen). A day hospital with waiting area and 2–3 chair bays: Pro €19/month (3 screens). A dedicated chemotherapy day unit with multiple rooms and separate family waiting area: Business €59/month. An oncology network or multi-site cancer centre: Network €199/month (50 screens, multi-account per location). See all plans.
The Digisini player caches up to 48 hours of content offline. If the Wi-Fi drops during a session, the screen continues showing the current content (room panel, support resources, notices) without interruption. When the connection returns, it syncs the latest changes automatically.
No minimum contract. All plans are monthly and cancel anytime. The 14-day free trial on paid plans requires no credit card. For units requiring a formal procurement agreement or NHS framework reference, please contact us at [email protected].
Yes, and it is one of its most valuable uses here. Many patients and families do not know they have psycho-oncology, nutrition, physiotherapy, support groups or cancer charities (Macmillan, Maggie's) within reach. Showing them in the waiting room, calmly and without drama, brings those resources closer to whoever needs them, just when they need them. It is accompaniment, not advertising, and part of caring for the person as well as treating the illness.
That is one of its aims. The notices that repeat each day — the day's bloods, premedication, fasting where relevant, the next oncologist appointment — go on a staff-area screen and stop falling on nursing. The team gets time and energy back for care and for the human contact that is irreplaceable in an oncology unit. Patient information is never exposed on the shared screens.
No, and that is deliberate. Digisini does not connect to the patient record, the hospital system or any patient registry, and it receives no health data. Staff upload the content and, where relevant, type in an appointment number or initials by hand; nothing clinical enters or leaves the screen. Data is hosted on servers within the EU/UK. For anything clinical you carry on with your usual system.
