Your gym screens,
in your pocket

The spin coach texts that the 7:30pm class is now 8pm. The receptionist updates the screen from her phone in 10 seconds before the first member arrives. Your screens show live schedules, coach of the day and monthly leaderboard — without printing posters or sticking notices on doors.

Digitising the gym:
where a screen helps and where it does not

"Digitising" means three different things to most gyms. A screen solves exactly one of them.

What a screen does solve. The class timetable stuck on the door as an A4 sheet, wrong since February. The free spots in the 6pm class. The instructor covering today. The personal-training offers in the free-weights area, where the member looks at the wall between sets anyway. That is the ground where a screen brings revenue: it hangs where the decision is made.

What a screen does not solve. We are not gym management software. Digisini sells no memberships, manages no contracts, does no turnstile check-in and reads no classes out of your management program. If that is what you need, you want gym software, not us. You keep the timetable with us by hand, or show it as a web URL your system already produces.

Short rule: the screen informs and sells at the spot where the member decides; the management software bills and administers. Two tools, and they work well together.

Members do not ask what is on at six; they look. A screen on the floor answers before anyone reaches the desk.

Where you hang
the screen

A screen's effect depends above all on where it is, not on what it shows.

Reception

Classes, offers, holiday hours. It is the first thing the member sees on the way in and the last on the way out. The week's news and the sign-up promotion go here.

Machine floor

Technical notices and personal training, no sound. The member is focused; short, clear text, no audio video competing with their earphones.

Free-weights area

The screen with the biggest effect, because that is where the rests are. Between sets the member looks at the wall: the best spot to offer personal training, challenges and nutrition plans.

Class room

Session flow and timer. The screen sets the pace of the circuit or the HIIT so the instructor does not have to shout the times.

Changing room

Nothing. A camera or a screen with personal data in the changing room is the worst idea of the year. No screen goes there.

Nobody cancels because of the marketing
they stop coming in week three

Screens in gyms are usually sold as a way to promote personal training. The expensive problem sits earlier and is far less glamorous: the new member who could not work out where to start and quietly stopped turning up.

The induction is forgotten within a week

Whatever a new member is shown on day one — the circuit, the settings, which machines to leave alone — is gone by the third visit, and asking again feels like admitting something. So they use the four machines they already understood and get bored. A screen in the equipment area running a short loop on three or four specific machines fixes this without anybody having to ask, and it works because it plays while somebody is resting between sets. It is the one place in a gym where repetition is an advantage rather than a nuisance.

The busiest hour is the one beginners choose

New members arrive between six and eight because that is when normal people finish work, find nothing free, stand around waiting and do not come back. That is the most expensive cancellation there is: it happens inside the first month, after the joining fee has been paid. Showing the genuinely quiet hours at the entrance moves a share of those people into slots with space. It costs nothing, eases the peak, and is one of very few changes that help the member and the business at the same time.

The class timetable is the most-asked question in the building

Who is covering, what is cancelled, whether there is space: these get answered at the desk, by somebody who was doing something else. On a screen they are there all day, and this morning's change goes in from a phone in thirty seconds rather than whenever someone reaches a computer. The gain is not promotion — it is that a cancelled class is known before people are changed and standing outside the studio door.

Put the terms where people can read them alone

Notice period, minimum term, what happens if you are injured, how to cancel: these are questions members do not ask until they want to leave, by which point the conversation is already awkward. Displaying them plainly looks like a commercial disadvantage and is not — the gyms where this ends in an argument at the desk are the same ones carrying the worst reviews. What is visible does not get argued about.

A gym already knows which of its members stopped coming — the entry system says so. Look at when those people used to arrive, and the answer is almost always the same hour: the busiest one. That single query costs nothing to run and tells you more about what belongs on the entrance screen than any amount of thinking about content ever will.

Common questions from
gym managers

Live class schedules (SPINNING 6:30pm · Coach Sarah · 6/15 spots), QR booking for classes with few spots left, member of the month ranking (attendance, PRs, completed challenges), coach of the day with photo and speciality, next class countdown, internal notices (timetable change, event, bank holiday closure), motivation between sets. All managed from the receptionist's phone.
Yes. Any Smart TV with a browser (recent Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV) works out of the box. If the screens are old without a browser, a Fire Stick or Chromecast (~£30) turns them into digital screens. Setup: plug in the TV, open Digisini in the browser, enter the 6-digit PIN. 5 minutes per screen. Size matters more than the model: on the machine floor and the free-weights area, where people read from far off, a 50" or 55" works much better than a small one; at reception a 43" is plenty.
Yes. Each screen has independent content and scheduling. Reception shows membership pricing + packages + class booking. The weight room shows motivation + monthly PRs + next class. The spin studio shows schedules + coach of the day. Everything is changed from your phone.
Native integration with gym software isn't included today — the schedule updates manually from your phone (10 seconds per change). If your plan is Business or higher, we can discuss custom integration via API. For most 1-3 room gyms, manual management from the phone is faster than syncing APIs.
CrossFit box with 1 reception screen: Starter €9/month. Gym with reception + weight room + class studio: Pro €19/month (3 screens, most popular). Large gym with 5-10 zones: Business €59/month. Multi-site chain: Network €199/month (50 screens, multi-account per location). See all plans.
Yes. The Digisini player caches up to 48 hours of content offline. If the Wi-Fi drops mid-afternoon, the screens keep showing the timetable and motivation without interruption. When the connection returns, it syncs the latest changes automatically. Important for basement gyms or weak Wi-Fi zones.
No. Cancel anytime without penalties. 14-day trial on paid plans, no card needed. Free plan permanent: 1 screen with Digisini watermark and 5% of slots for partner ads. When you want to remove them, you upgrade to Starter for €9/month.
It is the single most requested thing and the easiest to get wrong. Live occupancy helps when it is honest and hurts when it lags: a screen saying the floor is quiet while thirty people are on the machines does more damage than showing nothing. If your access system exports a live count, use it; if it exports an hourly average, show the average and label it as one.
Today's class changes, the genuinely quiet hours, and the membership terms — notice period, minimum term, what happens if you are injured and how to cancel. These are the questions that otherwise get answered at the desk by somebody who was doing something else.
By addressing the two things that lose them in the first month: they arrive at the busiest hour and find nothing free, and they have forgotten the induction by the third visit. Quiet hours at the entrance move some of them to slots with space, and a short loop in the equipment area answers the machine question without anybody having to ask.
The opposite, usually. Members do not ask until they want to leave, and by then the conversation is awkward. The gyms where this ends in an argument at the desk are the same ones carrying the worst reviews — what is visible does not get argued about.
